We're looking for an Assistant Base Manager for our Great Yarmouth hub

Assistant Base Manager

Reporting into the Base Manager, the Assistant Base Manager’s role is to supervise the workshop activities ensuring equipment is inspected, repaired, maintained and available to meet our business demands. In addition you will also provide cover for the Base Manager as and when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Base Manager to plan the repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs to returned equipment
  • Support the Base Manager with planning and completion of certification/calibration of equipment
  • Ensure effective workload planning so the availability of equipment meets business needs
  • Assist with fleet checks and stock takes as and when required
  • To assist the Base Manager with recruiting activities
  • Support ensuring individuals are trained and developed effectively to be able to carry out their roles

What We're Looking For

  • Experience of working in a similar workshop environment
  • Supervisory experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of the hire industry 
  • Knowledge of compressors and steam generators preferred
  • Valid driving licence preferable but not essential
