Airpac Bukom Oilfield Services, the energy services division of rental specialist Vp plc, has expanded its fleet of booster compressors with the purchase of its most powerful equipment to date.
The new B18-63/5000 units provide up to 5000 psi (345 bar) of compressed air with flow rates up to 1900 cfm (53 m³/min), providing powerful results for demanding applications such as mineral exploration, blast hole drilling, air drilling and nitrogen production. Built to rigsafe specification they are the latest technology of three-stage oil lubricated, six-piston air/nitrogen booster compressors and are powered by Caterpillar C18 Tier 3 diesel engines.
Airpac Bukom has been working hard to enhance the range of high-pressure rental equipment on offer, adding brand-new TwinAir compressors and XRVS 1550 units to the fleet in 2019. The B18 boosters further improve the ability to support a diverse range of energy applications.
Haydn Davies, Managing Director, stated;
In line with our strategy to add value to our customers’ operations, this further investment in high pressure products broadens our capability even further and maintains our position as a leading global rental supplier of the highest quality compressed air and associated services. We shall continue to support operations and develop our portfolio within high pressure applications including under balanced and air drilling, major plant testing and commissioning, and maintenance of existing infrastructure.
A full range of high-pressure primary compressors is available ranging from 24 bar (350 psi) to 35 bar (508 psi) with airflows of up 1920 cfm (54m³/min). The existing range of booster compressors offers 1800 psi (124 bar) to 3000 psi (207 bar) with Zone II options available.
