The Airpac Bukom Aberdeen team are taking part in Instant Neighbour’s ‘The Giving Tree’ appeal this year.
Instant Neighbour works with partner organisations on behalf of parents and families across Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City living in very difficult situations. These families are often unable to afford Christmas gifts for their children and The Giving Tree appeal ensures that they will not go without a present at Christmas.
Our Aberdeen team will be displaying gift tags on the company Christmas tree, each of which relates to one of the children referred to the appeal. The tags are printed by Instant Neighbour and include the child’s name, age, and gender. Members of staff will then collect a tag from a tree, purchase a gift, and place it under the tree with the tag attached, ready to be collected by the Instant Neighbour team.
Our employees will also be volunteering their time to help Instant Neighbour sort the items before they are delivered to their partner organisations and clients in time for Christmas parties and other relevant events.
As well as buying gifts from The Giving Tree, we will be collecting selection boxes, toiletries and non-perishable foods for Instant Neighbour's food bank clients. If any local businesses would like to add to the donations, they can drop items off at our head office in Kintore before 5th December.
*Suggested toiletries: Soap, Shampoo & Conditioner, Shower gel, Shaving foam, Toothpaste, Talcum powder, Baby wipes, Perfume and Aftershave
Please Note: All food related gifts (e.g. chocolate etc.) and any aerosols must remain unwrapped.
