Airpac Bukom expands its high-pressure offering with new XRVS 1550 Air Compressors.

Airpac Bukom Oilfield Services, the oil and gas division of rental specialist Vp plc, is pleased to announce that it has taken delivery of a fleet of Atlas Copco XRVS 1550 Air Compressors.

New 1550 cfm Rigsafe Air Compressor

The units expand the existing range of high-pressure specification rental equipment, with outputs now ranging from 900 cfm to 1550 cfm and pressures from 350 psi to 508 psi.

The versatile XRVS compressors are two-stage, variable pressure units, allowing for greater flexibility. The compressors can be operated at 43.9m³/min (1550 cfm) with delivered pressure of 25 bar (365 psi), or 38.23m³/min (1350 cfm) at 35 bar (508 psi), making them the most powerful high-pressure primary compressors currently available in the Airpac Bukom rental portfolio. 

As standard, the rigsafe specification XRVS compressors are trailer mounted, but they can be supplied in a DNV certified frame for use in offshore environments and are therefore suitable for a wide range of market applications. 

Airpac Bukom has a long history of supplying high-pressure air compressors and boosters for a variety of projects including large-scale LNG plant testing and commissioning, under-balanced drilling (UBD) and air drilling operations, as well as supporting maintenance programs on existing infrastructure.

In addition to the new XRVS units, Airpac Bukom has committed to further expanding its high-pressure fleet to meet increasing customer demands, with additional details to be released in due course. 

Despite recent challenging market conditions, Airpac Bukom has been consistently updating its equipment offering. In 2018 alone, the company added three new types of air compressors as well as continuing to upgrade and modify its existing product portfolio. The extensive compressor range now offers air outputs from 70 cfm to 2100 cfm and is available as wheeled, caged, containerised or skid mounted units in order to suit a variety of industry requirements.
