Role Overview:

You’ll play a key role in maintenance of our assets, including preparation, painting and other related tasks. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our hire equipment is in optimal condition and supporting various maintenance and logistical tasks within the workshop environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct air and steam hose inspections and tests as required
  • Assist in the preparation of equipment prior to painting
  • Inspect all returned equipment for visual damage and check items against hire termination paperwork
  • Carry out pre-use inspections of forklift trucks and cranes
  • Safely operate forklifts/cranes for loading, unloading, and moving equipment in the workshop and yard 
  • Ensure the workshop and yard are kept clean, tidy, and free from debris at all times
  • Deliver and collect small parts and assets as needed, ensuring timely and efficient handling
  • Ensure all equipment is stored correctly in its designated location 
  • Ensure all documentation related to equipment maintenance and movement is understood, completed, and returned promptly
  • Maintain accurate records for all inspections, damage reports, and asset movements
  • Provide assistance within the workshop and yard as directed by workshop personnel
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and show flexibility in supporting team needs
  • Follow company health and safety procedures and always ensure personal and team safety
  • Dispose of waste products in designated recycling bins and ensure that chemicals, oils, waste fluids, and paints are handled safely without spills
  • Ensure that equipment is loaded and stored correctly and comply with all HSE regulations and company safety guidelines
What We're Looking For:
  • Basic maths and English skills (National 5 levels or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the oil industry is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in operating forklift trucks or cranes is beneficial but not essential
  • A valid driving licence is required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A proactive and flexible attitude to tasks and responsibilities
