Airpac Bukom Oilfield Services, the oil and gas division of rental specialist Vp plc, has taken delivery of a fleet of Atlas Copco TwinAir™ air compressors as it continues to enhance its high pressure product portfolio.
The new units are the second high pressure fleet addition this year after the company announced the purchase of XRVS 1550 air compressors in January. Airpac Bukom also recently announced the appointment of Kenny Stewart to the role of High Pressure Applications Manager, in order to help drive the company forward and meet the demand for specialist high-pressure equipment solutions.
The brand new TwinAir™ units contain two individual high-pressure compressors which are operated independently, giving greater flexibility to meet varying project requirements. The compressors can be run at 960 cfm (27m³/min) or 1920 cfm (54m³/min) with a delivered pressure of up to 365 psi (25 bar). The rigsafe specification units are supplied in a standard 20 foot ISO, CSC and DNV 2.7-1 compliant container making them suitable for use in offshore environments.
Airpac Bukom prides itself on a strong history of providing high pressure air compressors and boosters for a variety of projects including large-scale LNG plant testing and commissioning, under-balanced drilling (UBD) and air drilling operations, as well as supporting maintenance programs on existing infrastructure. As demand in these markets continues to increase Airpac Rentals have taken steps to ensure its equipment offerings meet client expectations.

These units will complement an already-significant and varied range that ensures our customers have choice when fulfilling a range of applications. Stock will be held in our Europe and AsiaPacific locations, although the DNV rated CSC container means the units can be transported across the globe at minimal cost. Our commitment to add value to our product offering remains undiminished despite recent challenging trading conditions, and forms part of a long-term strategy that will see further additions as the year progresses."
Airpac Bukom have an extensive primary air compressor range, offering air outputs from 70 cfm to 2100 cfm with pressure ratings from 100 psi to 508 psi. In order to ensure that the air compressor range is suitable for a wide range of industry requirements, wheeled, caged, containerised or skid mounted units are all available to hire. The company also provides rental and operational support for a range of booster compressors, steam generators, heat exchangers, sand filters and ancillary equipment.
